Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December Sag NEIN zu Drogen Österreich 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers through public information points and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide straightforward information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. A short report is available via a Scientology Europe report.

Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
